template-1-text\" style=\"--awb-margin-top:20px;\"><p>The Liquid Properties Laboratory&#8217;s mission is to develop, maintain and disseminate units of density, viscosity and surface tension, as well as the development and implementation of new methods and measurement capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>In the frame of its activities has as its main concerns:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>development, preparation and certification of liquid reference materials for these quantities;<\/li>\n<li>participation and coordination of interlaboratory comparisons;<\/li>\n<li>carrying out measurement audits for: the calibration of hydrometers, oscillation-tube density meters and capillary viscometers and for determining the density, viscosity and surface tension of liquids;<\/li>\n<li>performing calibrations of hydrometers; oscillation-tube density meters; viscometers (capillary, rotational and Stabinger\u2019s); rheometers and tensiometers, for accredited laboratories;<\/li>\n<li>determination of density, surface tension, viscosity and rheological parameters of liquid samples;<\/li>\n<li>carrying out training courses on metrology of liquid properties;<\/li>\n<li>participation in national and interval from 750 kg m<sup>-3<\/sup> to 1\u00a0000 kg m<sup>-3<\/sup>, with an expanded uncertainty of 0,1\u00a0kg m<sup>-3<\/sup>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kinematic viscosity<\/strong> of newtonian liquids, determined using capillary viscometers, at a reference temperature of 20\u00b0C, in the interval from 1,2\u00a0mm<sup>2<\/sup> s-1 to 17\u00a0000 mm<sup>2<\/sup>s<sup>-1<\/sup>, with a relative expanded uncertainty of 0.16 % &#8211; 0.46%;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dynamic viscosity<\/strong> of Newtonian liquids, determined using capillary viscometers, at a reference temperature of 20\u00b0C, in the interval from 0,89mPa s to 15\u00a0000 mPa s, with a relative expanded uncertainty of 0.45% &#8211; 1.0%;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Capillary viscometer constant<\/strong>, at a reference temperature of 20\u00b0C, in the interval from of 0,001\u00a0mm<sup>2<\/sup>s<sup>-2<\/sup> to 30\u00a0mm<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0s<sup>-2<\/sup>, with a relative expanded uncertainty of temperature of 20\u00b0C, using the Cuckow Method, in the interval from of 600\u00a0kg\u00a0m<sup>-3<\/sup> to 2\u00a0000\u00a0kg\u00a0m<sup>-3<\/sup> (for obtaining satisfactory results in the comparison international EURAMET.MD-K4.2020 \/ EURAMET Project No. 1496);<\/li>\n<li>Density of liquids, by densimetry of vibrant tube densimeters, from 15\u00b0C to 40\u00b0C, in the interval from 750\u00a0kg\u00a0m<sup>-3 <\/sup>to 1\u00a0000\u00a0kg\u00a0m<sup>-3 <\/sup>(for obtaining satisfactory results in the international comparison EURAMET Project 1240);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kinematic viscosity<\/strong> of Newtonian liquids, determined using capillary viscometers, at a reference temperature of 15\u00b0C, in the interval from 1,2\u00a0mm<sup>2<\/sup>s<sup>-1<\/sup> to 17\u00a0000\u00a0mm<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0s<sup>-1<\/sup>, with a relative expanded uncertainty of 0.16 % &#8211; 0.29% (for obtaining satisfactory results in the Key Comparison CCM.V-K3);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Surface tension<\/strong> of liquids, to determine the surface tension of liquids (future participation in international
