APPLY FOR A TANK LICENCE TO TRANSPORT DANGEROUS GOODS

It allows you to obtain approval for the design and construction of a new cistern and approval for a used cistern, as well as authorisation to use the cistern and its renewal. It also allows you to change the cistern code, report a change in the holder of the cistern and obtain a duplicate of the approval/authorisation certificate.

Licence applications and procedures must be submitted via the IPQ Services Portal.

Service requirements

To submit applications via the IPQ Services Portal, the applicant must have a Citizen’s Card and the respective PIN codes or Digital Mobile Key and prior certification by the Professional Attribute Certification System (SCAP).

How much does it cost to apply for a cistern licence?

Order nº. 8215/2013 of 11 June, sets the fees to be charged for approvals, authorisations and other administrative acts regarding the technical conditions of cylinders and other pressure containers, fixed tanks, collapsible tanks, container batteries and tank containers.

The fees applicable to the licensing of Tanks for the Transport of Dangerous Goods can only be paid by ATM, and the respective reference is generated when the licence application is submitted.

How long will the service take?

The deadline for the service is 10 working days after the fee has been paid and the order has been fully processed.
